We have been very lucky to have worked on a number of the marvellous old sluice gates that can be found on the By Brook river in Wiltshire. For this one in particular, we had to dismantle and repair the old metalwork lifting mechanisms, which involved recreating some of the historic parts.
We undertook the survey of the existing structures, and developed a repair and replacement scheme for the owners. Below left: before. Below right: after restoration.
