We were approached by the architects to build the oak frame for this new extension, which forms a kitchen/dining/living space as part of the redevelopment of a traditional Guernsey farmhouse.
The architects provided detailed drawings, which enabled us to cut the frame in our Wiltshire workshop before raising on site. This is quite unusual, as it is more common for us to develop the workshop drawings from more general, if dimensioned, architect’s drawings.
Sometimes we start from the planning drawings.
