We’ve been splitting shingles & pegs with froes for many years, and we’ve tried many different froes. This is one of the best! The thin blade rapidly penetrates the log, and its depth offers great leverage. The eye is tapered, so the blade is being driven onto the handle with each stroke. The handle is removable, making the Froe easy to transport.
