The Adze is used to
shape and trim timber. The superb control possible
with these tools enables you to adjust the amount of
wood trimmed with only a slight change in the angle
of the wrist. They are used for scaling bark, shaping
and trimming timber and any job requiring a tool
capable of rapid wood removal. The Gutter Adze
(Curved Adze) is used for timber framing, chair
making and large wood sculpturing.
The Straight Adze
(Carpenters Adze) is ideal for smaller shaping
and trimming jobs where a greater degree of control
is needed.
