The drawknife is primarily designed for peeling,
shaping and smoothing. It is particularly suited to
peeling softwood logs in the preparation of
log-building. The blade is bowed up and curved
forward in the centre. The hickory handles are set on
full-length tangs extending straight out from the
ends of the blade.
